Mid 18th Century Oak and Ash Settle
ABOUT
A striking mid 18th century panel backed settle in a mixture of oak and ash. The rich oak back rest of panel and frame constuction, the arms and seat in wonderfully tactile ash, the base of the back support slightly flared to match the rake of the back suuport and united with the front legs by means of simple stretchers. This settle is beautifully pegged throughout and has a good, rich depth of colour. England. C.1750
