George I Burr Elm Bureau
An early 18th century George I period bureau in well faded and patinated burr elm, the fall opening to reveal a fitted interior with architectural book slides, arcared pigeon holes, drawers and leathered writing surface. Belo, three long drawers crossbanded in walnut and heightened with boxwood stringing – the whole raised on bracket feet. England. C.1725
