The Box is Mounted in Fine Ormolu (Gilt Bronze) Featuring Classical Beaded and Foliate Motifs.
The Box Features Two Finely Cast Dore Bronze Shell Mounts, One on Each Side of the Main Body.
These Shells are Designed in the Style of Scallop Shells (Coquilles Saint-Jacques), a Classical Motif often Found in French Decorative Arts.
The Box Rests on Four Ornate Winged Feet that Lift it Slightly above the Surface, Enhancing its Elegance.
The Dore Bronze Escutcheon and Lock Plate are Decorated with Scroll Work Motif.
