From ourĀ Tea CaddyĀ collection, we are delighted to offer this Georgian GreenĀ TortoiseshellĀ Tea Caddy. The Tea Caddy is finished in vibrant green Tortoiseshell veneer to the exterior with ivory stringing, canted corners, a silver vacant initial plaque and silver escutcheon. The interior of the Tea Caddy is faced inĀ BoxwoodĀ surrounding the two tortoiseshell-fitted lids mounted with turned handles. Removing the lids reveals the tea storage compartments with the visual signs of the silver foil lining. The tea caddy dates to theĀ GeorgianĀ period during the reign of George III (1760-1820) Circa 1790.
The Green Tortoiseshell Tea Caddy comes complete with working lock and Tasselled Key.
