Chinese porcelain armorial charger
A rare armorial charger decorated in blue enamel and cold painted black and gilt with the arms of Fortescue and Dormer below the crest of a hound (?). The border with flowers, shells and a scroll with a landscape in underglaze blue.
Dimensions: 39 cm diameter.
Condition: a large piece attached with rivets and two cracks from rim riveted. Another piece recently restuck to the rim of about 13cm.
Yongzheng period, circa 1722-1724.
