From our Tea Caddy collection, we are pleased to introduce this fine Georgian sterling silver tea caddy by Robert Hennell I.
The tea caddy of quatrefoil form features beautiful bright cut engraving with column sides and an acorn finial. The exterior is finely engraved with floral swags, bell flower swags, blossoming flowers and bowed ribbons. The lid of the tea caddy is fitted with an integral hinge and is surmounted by a quality cast acorn finial.
The underside is hallmarked sterling silver, London, by Robert Hennell I and bears the date letter for 1784, dating the piece to the George III period.
