French Art Deco Opalescent frosted glass dripping icicle chandelier by Ezan, circa the 1930s.
This magnificent Parisian chandelier, attributed to Ezan, from the 1930s, is made of copper, brass, and frosted glass.
The chandelier features five branches supporting dishes all embellished with dripping icicle motifs with the central parts of the chandelier decorated with frosted glass icicles.
In good condition with slight signs of aging and use. The light fixture is in complete working order and has been rewired.
Ezan was one of the best French glass manufactories (circa 1920 – 1945). It was located a little north of Paris.
In the mid-1930s it became well-known for its glassware in bluish opalescent glass and the opalescent stylized glass icicles.
