Hudson Antiques specialises in a mix of furniture, lighting and mirrors from 17th century through to Mid-century.
How did you get into collecting Antiques?
“So I got into antiques probably about 25 – 30 years ago. I came into it from a similar but very different approach. I was working in the acting industry for a long time and needed something to keep me out of trouble when I wasn’t acting. So I was introduced to antiques. The didn’t change seasonally so that had an appeal. I could go off and do an acting job and come back and the antiques were pretty much still the same.”
Is there a theme to your collecting?
“I have a passion for Continental Antiques and I travel to France a lot. I cross many genres and many periods. I love things from the 17th, 18th & 19th centuries. But I also love things into the 20th century. I do quite a bit of lighting and have a bit of a thing for pairs.”
